Blog 8: A subject you enjoyed studying this semester
Hi everyone,
Today you're going to talk about a subject you enjoyed studying this semester.
A subject I enjoyed a lot in university was "Caribbean Film and Literature" I thought it was an amazing course and I learned a lot. We watched films made by Caribbean film makers and read essays, novels, and short stories by different Caribbean writers. I got very inspired by that class as many of you may have realized.
But for example, writers like Jamaica Kincaid, Christian Campbell, and Olive Senior I use in many of my courses. I like these writers for different and various reasons. I like Kincaid because she writes well and always writes about controversial topics. I like Jamaica Kincaid because she always talks about anti-imperialism and anti-colonialism. Christian Campbell is very good because he talks about racism in the United States, but also about the Caribbean world.

I've never heard of these writers before, but I'd like to read more of their writing :)

ResponderEliminarIt is true! we can see it in the classes, I think it is interesting because we don't see them very often in courses that are not specifically about that.
